Lying on the River Severn, in the West Midlands region of England, Shrewsbury is an historic market town that boasts a largely unaltered medieval street plan and over 660 historic listed buildings, including several examples of timber framing from the 15th and 16th centuries. Notable sights include Shrewsbury Castle and Shrewsbury Abbey.

Old Shrewsbury Market Hall

An imposing Victorian building, Shrewsbury's railway station features a clock tower, imitation Tudor chimneys, and carved heads in the frames of every window. There’s a direct link to London Marylebone and numerous services to nearby Wales (indeed the town is known as the “Gateway to Wales.”)
